How I work

My approach is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), drawing on mindfulness and DBT skills for emotion regulation where they help. Where words feel insufficient, we may use creative, arts-based methods.

What people bring

Anxiety, low mood and depression, trauma, difficult emotions, self-criticism, stress, and the strain of living between cultures. I mainly work with people whose difficulties carry low to moderate levels of risk and complexity, online or with a mix of online and in-person sessions.

Eating difficulties

I work in a specialist NHS eating disorders service and offer evidence-based treatment for anorexia, binge eating and body-image difficulties, including CBT-E (enhanced cognitive behavioural therapy for eating disorders), CBT-T (a ten-session form of it) and MANTRA (the Maudsley model of treatment for adults with anorexia).

How it starts

  1. A free 15-minute call, to see whether working together feels right.
  2. A first session to understand what brings you, and what you’d like to change.
  3. Regular sessions at a pace that suits you. [Session length and typical number of sessions to confirm.]
